Micros Installation Guide
Please carefully read all instructions to successfully complete the installation. Images have been provided to assist with completion, however some images can differ due to the different versions.
Critical directions are highlighted in red because they need to be followed correctly.
Step 1:
A zip folder named SessionM Installer will have downloaded. Extract all files from the zipped folder to the Back of House computer before proceeding with the installation.
The files must be extracted before running the installer.
Step 2:
Once the files have been extracted, open the new folder and Right-Click Installer.Slim.exe and Run as Administrator.
The installer must be ran as administrator to properly install.
Step 3:
Review the required minimum system specifications to confirm all have a Green Check Mark before continuing the installation. If all marks are Green then click Next.
All ports must have a for the installation to successfully complete. Please escalate if one or more of the ports fail the check.
Step 4:
Review the required ports to confirm all have a Green Check Mark before continuing the installation. If all marks are Green then click Next.

Step 5:
Confirm the correct Port and IP address is set then click Next.
Step 6:
Once the blue progress bar has completed click Next.
Step 7:
Click Run Program and DO NOT CLICK NEXT; another window will appear.
Step 8:
The following window will appear. Open the Micros Database Manager.
Step 9:
Click on Backup Database then click Next.
Step 10:
Check Backup Database then click Next.
Step 11:
Click Run Backup and once complete, click Next.
Step 12:
Once the following menu has completed, click Next.
Step 13:
In Back Office Manager, open the POS Configurator, navigate to Devices > Touchscreen Designer then click Next.
Step 14:
Use the dropdown selector to select the desired screen — typically Payments Screen — then click Next.
Step 15:
Click the blue plus sign + and a new button will appear. Drag and Resize the blank button to the desired position.
Step 16:
Ensure the blank button does not interfere or use another button’s space.
The circled area, although blank, is still being used and will disable the discount button if placed here.
Step 17:
Select the new button and at the bottom of the screen type LoyalTree Redeem into the Legend field then click Next.
Step 18:
Change the Category field to Sim/PMS Inquire. An Error pop up may occur, just click on OK. Once completed, click Next.
Step 19:
Select LoyalTree Redemption from the drop-down box and then click Next.
Step 20:
Click the green check mark to refresh the database, which will display an Inquire Number field at the bottom. Enter 1 (number one) into the Inquire Number field.
Step 21:
Click the green check mark to finalize all changes, then click Next.
Step 22:
Open the Micros Control Panel and click Reload Database then click Next.
Step 23:
Once Reload Database has been clicked the circles will turn yellow. Please wait at this point until the circles return to green check marks. Then click Next.
Step 24:
After the green check marks have returned, click on Reboot All which will reboot the terminals applying the changes. Click Next once completed to finalize the installation process.
Step 25:
Click Complete on the SessionM and LoyalTree Installers to finalize the installation process.
